This Made Me Sad

When you know an ugly truth it doesn't hurt as much as when that truth is being whacked right at your face. Here's a video that has been going around the web about Michael Goodman's 20 Reasons Why I Dislike The Philippines posted on ChannelFix.

Jimmy Sieczka, the host, lives in Cebu for about three and a half years and he pointed out all the things that he doesn't like in the Philippines. This made me angry. No, actually furious. But it's the truth, a bitter truth that I need to swallow and suck it down to my throat. Yet, again, I chose not to dwell on the negativity and do every possible way I can to prove that Filipinos can be better than this.

20 Reasons I Dislike _____. (the Philippines)
By: Michael Goodman
About: If you think really hard, I'm sure you can come up with a couple reasons not to like something. In the land he loves so much, let Jimmy take you on a lighthearted tour of the negative aspects of living in a crowded country located at the earth's equator. On the flip side, check out 20 Reasons I Love _____. (the Philippines) at: http://channelfix.com/video/109/.

  2. If he doesn't like the Philippines then he should leave our country. Why would he waste his time working here and do a nonsense video. It's as simple as that.

  3. You can never please everyone and besides, if you look at it, there's always something you won't like in any place you've been and will be in to. Don't mind him. =)

  4. For some reason, I like this video. Not that I like what the guy said, pero this is an eye opener sa ating mga Pilipino at sa government natin.

It's difficult to take criticism and I choose to take personally what this guy is saying by being a better pinoy out of it. He is entitled to an opinion, but he should've thinked twice dahil emotional tayo as a nation.

  6. Haven't finished the whole vid, my internet connection's sooo slowwww! :( I agree with those who commented that he should have left early on, why stay in a place you hate in the first place?! He may have pointed out valid reasons but he should have considered the many positive traits that we have, there are 20x as many reasons to love this country than to hate. Asar lang!!

  8. Man, it's okay to talk about how much you hate the Philippines and post it in YouTube for all the Filipinos to watch. Ang sa akin lang, IT IS NOT WHAT YOU SAY eh, IT IS HOW YOU SAY IT! Ang tono mo kasi.. ipokrito ka at talagang mapag-mata. Kaya yan, persona en grata ka tuloy. Sorry, tama ba spelling? Honest opinion lang! :)
